The following MIXDES 2013 special sessions are planned:
-
Compact Modeling for More than Moore
organised by Dr. Daniel Tomaszewski (Inst. of Electron Techn., Poland) and Dr. Władysław Grabiński (GMC Suisse)
The "More than Moore" concept explores the boundaries of classical semiconductor applications based on silicon electronics. Typical examples are low voltage analog/RF, and power/HV solutions, passives, optics, bio-chips, sensor/actuator/MEMS for high level heterogeneous system integration, including non-digital functions. Important key challenges for the realization of the "More than Moore" concept are at the interface between advanced technology developments and progressive IC designs. The compact/SPICE modeling and its standardization plays an important role coherently bridging these two domains. Special MIXDES compact modeling session will address all the related aspects of the alternative technologies and device architectures developments, compact modeling methodologies, experimental characterization and validation, CAD/EDA model implementation as well as device level design support for advance IC designs. -
xTCA for Instrumentation
organised by Dr. Dariusz Makowski, Dr. Adam Piotrowski (Lodz University of Technology, Poland), Dr. Holger Schlarb (DESY, Germany) and Dr. Stefan Simrock (ITER, France)
