The parameters (measurements velocity, pulse transit time) are more often used to for cardiology diagnosis. They are essential for qualifications the arterial stiffness and change blood pressure. Can be useful to detect sleep respiratory events or microarousals. The article proposes two concepts aimed at solving the issue of measuring pulse wave velocity PWV and pulse transit time PTT. The first concept focuses on the measurement of the pulse wave and the ECG signal, necessary to determine PWV, with one of the measurement modules. The second concept consists in the use of two separate modules, integrated in the wireless WBAN network system. The secondary module is responsible for the acquisition of the pulse signal in this method. The primary module (integrator) synchronizes the operation of both modules in the WBAN network, acquires the ECG signal, as well as calculates PWV and PTT, and other significant parameters. The integrator also permits wireless communication with external systems. The paper presents the way in which the measurements were made, research into the use of the first method, and the current works to adjust the modules to the implementation of the second concept.
