Pose-Oriented Face Images Acquisition Platform

Among many computer vision applications one can find substantial group of applications that are based on head pose detection of an object. For reliable pose estimation typically the decent detection and landmark localization is needed. In order to develop and test these algorithms the face images database acquired from different camera viewpoints is required. Because of the scarcity of publicly available face pose databases that provide high quality face images at different poses, the authors decided to build a dedicated stand for acquisition of such data and collect the data. It will enable the development and testing of pose detection algorithms.
