A Novel Closed-form Synthesis Approach for Band-pass Filters with Arbitral End-coupled-reactances

M. Zaradny (Wrocław Univ. of Science and Techn., Poland)

Rather, the most intensively researched are synthesis methods for BPF design that employ J-admittance or K-impedance inverters. The simplest and effective analytical ways to fast obtain the modified filter network from entered imaginary-parts as additional physical connections to the networks are desired. This paper presents an analytical simple synthesis method for BPF with arbitrarily entered reactance-parts to the real terminations – called coupled-reactances. This original method gives arbitral filter immitances of resonators and coupled-reactances with pass-over end-inverters that are unchanged. Filters are employed novel asymmetric inverters with single-negative element proposed by Zaradny & Rymerz effectiveness than symmetrical inverters. Calculated responses with inserted novel inverters confirming theory assumptions. Practical application of the method and consideredinverters are shown. The filter examples are verified theoretically. Experimentally is example-one on the bench-model with well-result. The method has actually applications in thick-film MIC’s.
