3D Face and Hand Scans Acquisition System Dedicated for Multimodal Biometric Identification

The aim of this paper is to present the data acquisition system built for the Multimodal Biometric System for Contactless Persons Identification. The authors introduce 3D scanning techniques employed by other researches. Then the hardware and software architecture of the designed acquisition system is described. Finally the authors focus on the system calibration algorithm and present the obtained sample results.
