Increasing requirements regarding the security of computer systems, services or products impose the use of methods providing the confirmation of the products or services quality. One of the widely used processes in this aspect is certification. This is part of the overall process of assessing the conformity of a product or service. It refers to confirming the set of features of a given product or service in the context of meeting certain requirements. One of the widely used standards around the world, which describes the IT security requirements and data encryption, is the FIPS 140 - Federal Information Processing Standard.
