Mapping of Temperature Dependent Heat Transfer Coefficient Values in Power Hybrid Electronic Circuits Cooled by Natural Convection

M. Janicki (Lodz Univ. of Techn., Poland)

This paper analyzes the influence of the heat source size on circuit temperature distribution. Thermal simulations are carried out using the analytical Green’s function method. The circuit thermal model used here assumes that the heat transfer coefficient values are temperature dependent. The statistical data concerning maximal, minimal and average temperature and heat transfer coefficient values as well as their standard deviation are discussed in detail providing some important conclusions.
